Ack ! help ???

What do u do when your child's tooth is loose it wiggles???

Devin was playing outside w/ his very active cousin...and they ended up bumping into eachother.

The problem is...while the cousin bumped w/ his head (he's totally fine)....Devin got hit straight on his nose & front teeth!!!   Of course there was the bloody nose...BUT we didn't see his loose tooth till last nite (a whole day after the initial event).  *sigh*  Devin was laughing w/ his mouth real wide...and i noticed that one of his front 2 teeth was sort of crooked?  his front teeth were always straight.  i told him to keep his mouth open while i inspected.  yup...it was loose.  Damn it.

Hubby called our children's dentist in Korea and they said that they needed to do an x-ray to be sure...but that it could be a different number of possibilities:

1. broken tooth (which he would have to have removed)

2. nerve damage (the tooth would turn dark/black eventually)

3. gum/tissue damage (D. would be fine...try not to handle too much...would harden on it's own).

Do any of you other Mom's have any experience w/ this???  I'm so upset.  I can't believe he got hurt like this.  I'm never gonna let my kids run around other kids like that again   Who knew bumping into something/someone could turn into an accident like this....

.its probably a broken tooth....if its wiggling..hmmm, the only experience i've had was my husband was in his junior high and he broke his tooth....all they did was put a replacement...if his teeth is not a baby tooth...i don't think it will grow again unless you put a fake one......I AM NOT AN EXPERT...YOU KNOW I THINK EUNICE AKA YUNBUG IS A DENTIST...why don't you msg her and find out what can be done...also i think beefamily's husband is a dentist as well.......my friend onpost husband is a dentist......i'll call her late to find out.......awwww, poor baby.....you have every right to be mad.......but overall, he'll be okay and don't touch it, have the dentist look over it first.......gosh, they must've bumped into each other hard.............just know he'll be okay......

take him to the dentist to be on the safe side, but i recently had a very similiar situation happend with Nathan. He fell and ended up with a loose tooth that had not previously been loose at all! I was worried, and it did bleed a little, but he is eating and drinking just fine. he doesnt act like it hurts badly or anything now... just the first few hours or so if i tried to touch it to check how loose it was. Its still in- it hasnt fallen out yet. and it hasnt turned any werid dark blue or black colors like you mentioned. chances are, its just a normal part of playing for all kids, but especially for boys in general! haha. but i would probably want to get it checked out to help you sleep better at night. sadly, we cant prevent them from all these types of injuries, as much as we wish we could. we can just be there for them to hold on to, kiss and hug the pain away! you are a great mommy!

I would try to see a dentist. When I was young, I played ball with my brother and it endecd hitting me straight in the mouth. I went to see the dentisst right away because the tooth was loose and bleeding. They took a xray and told me that ghey needed to do a route canal on one tooth and put temporary brace on the other hoping it would reattach itself. Sure enough it did and Im fine now. this is when I had my adult teeth. Im not sure how it applies to childredns teeth because don't they loose it anyways? Idk? Hope it all works out. Poor D he's such a trooper.

Oh no... but before you worry yourself for nothing, why don't you go see a dentist? I hope it's nothing to serious. On a brighter note, no matter what, it's his baby tooth.
