| | What do u do when your child's tooth is loose it wiggles??? Devin was playing outside w/ his very active cousin...and they ended up bumping into eachother. The problem is...while the cousin bumped w/ his head (he's totally fine)....Devin got hit straight on his nose & front teeth!!! Of course there was the bloody nose...BUT we didn't see his loose tooth till last nite (a whole day after the initial event). *sigh* Devin was laughing w/ his mouth real wide...and i noticed that one of his front 2 teeth was sort of crooked? his front teeth were always straight. i told him to keep his mouth open while i inspected. yup...it was loose. Damn it. Hubby called our children's dentist in Korea and they said that they needed to do an x-ray to be sure...but that it could be a different number of possibilities: 1. broken tooth (which he would have to have removed) 2. nerve damage (the tooth would turn dark/black eventually) 3. gum/tissue damage (D. would be fine...try not to handle too much...would harden on it's own). Do any of you other Mom's have any experience w/ this??? I'm so upset. I can't believe he got hurt like this. I'm never gonna let my kids run around other kids like that again Who knew bumping into something/someone could turn into an accident like this.... |
